Earlier today just outside of NBP-Pro headquarters a rather large press conference/ fan meet and greet took place with coach DaltMc. For those of you who don't know This is a seasoned coach who has both played and coached the sport all over The Warp and a crowd tends to follow him wherever he may roam. That was no different today, many have said it was one of his largest press conferences to date. Many have attributed this to the interest and need for more information by the fans of this new promising Blood Bowl league. Needless to say Coach Dalt remained humble and thanked his fans for their support and encouragement. We have his words below.
"Hello everyone and welcome! I would like to thank you all for coming out today for my first ever NBP-Pro press conference. It really says a lot about fan loyalty. I also see a lot of new faces out there and I would like to thank you as well for showing up and I hope to win you over as a fan as well. I suppose many of you are wondering why I'm here, and are asking 'Don't you have a home already Dalt? What about your other responsibilities? Are you bringing one of your old teams with you?' I'll get to all of that in just a second don't worry, the last thing I want to do is keep all of my fans and the Blood Bowl community in the dark about my actions. In my 6 seasons coaching in The Warp I have been a lot of things. A loser, a winner, a commissioner, a complainer, a devout follower of Nuffle, a man who hated Nuffle more than anything, an ally, an enemy, a spectator, a writer, a pod-caster, a champion, and most importantly a trailblazer. I'm one of those individuals that when presented with a new opportunity I take it and run with it for better or for worse. That's exactly what's happening here. I was presented with an opportunity here to break ground, to get in on the ground floor of this budding league. I saw an opportunity to continue to do great things and contribute to the longevity of the Blood Bowl Community. I really want to try my chances here and help this league make a name for itself. To see this league becoming a legitimate and well known league, just like many other leagues out there. Of all the leagues that I have participated in this one shows the most potential for growth and development not only for the league itself but for me, the community, the other coaches, the players, the teams, The Warp, and most importantly the amazing sport of Blood Bowl itself.
Onto one of your questions. No I will not be bringing any of my old teams with me, they already have homes to call their own. That's not what this league is about. This league is about the development of new franchises, players, and coaches. I feel that by bringing any of them with me would be against the spirit of sportsmanship and taint what the commissioners are trying to do here. That's not to say that you won't see some familiar faces on the sideline or in the administration for my teams. Blood Bowl Entertainment is a lucrative business and there is more work than just playing in this business. As for what team I will be coaching. I have a buddy by the name of DwGrim. He's an interesting Dwarven fellow who has been on adventures all around The Warp and beyond. Well being the old Dwarf that he is, he knows quite a few people. Fortunately for me these people tend to have quite a bit of money they are also pretty big Blood Bowl fans. With the creation of this new league they figured there was no better time than now to invest in this beautiful sport. DwGrim put in a good word for me and since yesterday I have a pretty fat check book with the ability to spend as I please. I've saw the zeroes in that account and let's just say it's the definition of a googol (look that up.)
That was a bit of a tangent but my point is they have assigned me with the duty of finding promising teams and players around the warp, investing in them and bringing them into the NBP-Developmental program. I'm sure you've seen some of these teams already and there will be more to come in the future. My main investment, my pride and joy, my pet project is #Swole. DwGrim and myself have assembled the finest squad of Dwarves from Warps all around. I'm no stranger to being at the helm of a Dwarf squad and with the help of an old grizzled Dwarf such as DwGrim I believe we have the potential to be unstoppable in this new league. I look forward to introducing them all to you in the future as well as giving you all the opportunity to see these boys play out on the pitch.
